The primary issue is that there usually are not superior ways for Haskell analyzers to talk to a Java/C++ UI in memory. So you obtain clunky+slow community/IPC APIs (or worse, conversation through filesystem) for stuff that should be very small in-system strategy phone calls.Just some extent of etiquette.
